Pray for Bulgaria & Hungary (5-11 February)
Posted by bms_prayer at 00:00 on 5th February 2012
In the past decade Bulgaria has pressed ahead with market reforms designed to meet EU economic targets.
It has achieved some growth, seen unemployment fall a little from highs of nearly 20 per cent and brought inflation under control.
Incomes and living standards remain very low, however, and the EU continues to call on Bulgaria to take urgent action to tackle crime and corruption. (Photo credit: Dieter Zirnig)

- Kalman Meszaros and Janos Papp, President and Mission Secretary respectively of the Hungarian BU: a union of 368 churches and 12,000 members.
- BMS supported partner worker and Hungarian church planter Gyorgy Varga.
- Jozsef Csuhai, a BMS supported partner worker, co-ordinating the Baptist Roma mission in Hungary.
- Hungarian Baptist Aid, whose activities include food aid and disaster relief around the world, and working among drug addicts and the homeless in Hungary.
