BMS World Mission

Action Team Photos

Children, candles and canoe rides - just some of the many memories captured on camera by BMS World Mission's 2008-09 Action Teams.

Below are the top ten Action Team photos as judged by BMS in association with The Baptist Times.  The competition is now in its third year and is a brilliant way of showcasing young people's photographic talents whilst also giving a glimpse of the cultures they entered.

First Place

The winning entry was taken by Hannah Fulcher of the Nepal Action Team at the ancient town of Bhaktapur, which is listed as a World Heritage by Unesco. She said, "We had hoped to see lots of people making pots in the market square, but in fact only saw this one man whilst there who was so skilled at his job. I think it's a great photo because it shows a glimpse of the real Nepal."

Second Place

Second place comes from the Delhi Action Team "While we were sanding the walls, Summit picked up the camera and took this self-portrait."

Third Place

Third place goes to Rachel Third of the Ecuador Action Team who took this photo of Larry playing with Mr Panda and Mr Lion at a pre-school in Los Vergeles, Guayaquil.
